Please contact the Village with any questions at 937-747-3645.]]><![CDATA[REQUEST FOR GENERAL QUALIFICATIONSFOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES]]>Tue, 01 Sep 2026 15:16:26 GMThttps://www.northlewisburg.com/news/request-for-general-qualificationsfor-professional-engineering-servicesThe Village of North Lewisburg is requesting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ’s) for professional design / consulting services to identify the most qualified firms to provide professional design / consulting services for upcoming projects. SOQ’s are due not later than September 30, 2026.

EVALUATING QUALIFICATIONS

The Village will utilize procedures for competitive qualification-based procurement for engineering services in connection with this SOQ. Under this method, qualifications of competing firms will be evaluated and the service provider that is deemed the most advantageous and qualified to perform a scope of services will be selected for any proposed project by the Village. This will not include design and engineering that is required to go to through a competitive selection process.

Specifically, the Village is looking to pre-qualify Consultants to perform the following tasks:
  • Traffic Analysis
  • Roadway Design (Non-complex)
  • Water Distribution System Design.
  • Wastewater Collection System Design.
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment System Design.
  • Storm Sewer System Design
  • Construction Management and Observation
  • Funding
  • Flow Monitoring
  • Surveying

FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED IN EVALUATING QUALIFICATIONS

The Village will evaluate the statement of qualifications on the following basis:
  • Experience of the firm in successfully completing projects of a similar nature.
  • Experience of project personnel to be directly responsible for the project management and the experience of those individuals to be responsible for completing major components of the project.
  • Capacity of the firm to devote sufficient manpower to a project in order to complete the project in a timely manner.
  • Consultant’s interest in this project.
  • Past Performance with the village.

SUBMISSION OF QUALIFICATIONS

The Village will accept three (3) copies of the Statements of Qualifications from interested firms at the office of the Village Administrator, 60 East Maple Street, P.O. Box 243, North Lewisburg, Ohio 43060. All qualification submittals must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on Sept 30, 2026. Submissions shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked “General Qualifications - SOQ”. The Qualifications will be reviewed, and any needed interviews will be scheduled.

  • ​$17.00-$20.00 per hour.
  • Applicants must be 17 or older.
  • Applicants must be able to run a mower and various power tools.
  • Applicants must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, walk long distances, and stand for long periods of time. The position will require bending and twisting frequently.
  • Applicants will be exposed to noise, dirt, dust, debris, and fumes.
  • The position is a part time Village OPERS position. The hired applicant will report to The Village Administrator daily for assigned tasks.
  • Hours are 8am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday, less a 1/2 hour lunch. Some Fridays might be worked during leaf collection season.

North Lewisburg Bicentennial Cornhole Tournament
​Cornhole Tournament at the Veterans Monument in North Lewisburg Ballpark
When: Saturday, September 5, 2026
12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.  If needed, Finals will take place on Sunday September 6th at the same location. Rain Date- Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the same place and time.
 
The first 32 people to text Kim Tomlin @ 937-844-8098 are in the tournament. 

$20. Cash Entry fee at time of tournament.  Teams will be drawn at the start of the tournament.
Prize for 1st ($200) and second places ($120). Money to be split 50/50 with Veterans to maintain Wall and Monument.  Prize is based on 32 players.  The director reserves the right to increase the amount of players.

Best out of three games. Winner advances.
